New Clients

What do I wear?

Comfort is key! During your session you will lengthen and strengthen all areas of the body, so wearing activewear that moves with your body, keeps you supported, and makes you feel comfortable is essential. For hygiene and safety, grip socks are compulsory and can be purchased in studio for $22.

What do I bring?

You may wish to bring a sweat towel. Staying well hydrated is important. Filtered water is provided. Please help our environment by bringing your own water bottle.

What should I expect?

Pilates is suitable for every body. Expect to be challenged to a level that is suitable for you. You will work through a range of repertoire designed to focus on both strength and flexibility. Expect to feel and see your body change with each session that goes by.

Can I bring my phone to class?

We ask that you please ensure your phone is on silent. This is your time to disconnect with the outside world and reconnect with your self. If you need to take an important call please do so quietly outside, so as not to disturb other clients.

How many times per week should I attend?

Everyone is different. What is appropriate for you will depend on a range of factors; your current lifestyle, any injuries you may have, what your goals are, etc. Generally speaking, the more you put in- the more you get out! Our average recommendation is 3 sessions per week. If you are unsure, please feel free to reach out. We would love to have a chat.

Bookings and Cancellations

Do I have to book in?

Bookings are required for all classes and can be done online via the Momence app. We suggest booking well in advance for your preferred classes, as particular time slots have a tendency to book out.

How does the waitlist work?

If the class you wish to book into is full, you may add yourself to the waitlist. If someone cancels out of this class the next person on the waitlist will be automatically added to the class. It is your responsibility to check your emails as this is how you will be notified that you have been added to the class. Please remove yourself from the waitlist if you no longer wish to attend the class as normal cancellation terms will apply.

Can I cancel my booking?

Booking cancellations are accepted up to 24hrs before your session. Unfortunately, cancellations within 24hrs will not be refundable.

Can I place my pre-purchased packs on hold?

All 5, 10 and 20 packs must be used within the specified period. Any unused sessions outside of these periods will expire. We suggest booking your sessions well in advance to avoid missing out on your preferred session times. If you are not certain you will use the whole pack within this time period, you may wish to purchase casual classes instead.

What happens if I am running late?

You are welcome to still attend class if you are running late. A little pilates is always better than no pilates! Please enter the class with minimal disruption to others.

Pre-natal and post-natal

Congratulations on creating a small human! We understand this is both an exciting and challenging period in your life. We are here to support you to regain control of your body and stillness in your mind.

Can I attend classes pre-natal?

Absolutely. Pilates is a safe and controlled form of movement you are able to participate in before giving birth. We will simply modify certain exercises to suit, dependant on how far along you are in your pregnancy. Our sessions are suitable right up until birth unless otherwise advised by your healthcare practitioner.

Can I attend post-natal?

With a letter of clearance from your GP you are most welcome to attend classes approximately 6 weeks after giving birth. Our comprehensively trained instructors will discuss any abdominal separation and/or other complications before commencing movement that is suitable and tailored to your needs.

Can I bring my baby to pilates?

We understand that you may be playing supermum, trying to fit it all in! We have a specialised bumps n bubs class you are welcome to bring baby along to, whilst you connect with other parents and their bubs. Your baby is also welcome to come along to any private sessions with you. Due to space restrictions and as courtesy to other clients, we ask that bub please not be brought to semi-private studio or group class sessions.
