New Clients

What do I wear?

Comfort is key! During your session you will lengthen and strengthen all areas of the body, so wearing activewear that moves with your body, keeps you supported, and makes you feel comfortable is essential. Grip socks may be appropriate and can be purchased from us for delivery directly to you.

What do I bring?

You may wish to bring a sweat towel. Staying well hydrated is important. Filtered water is provided. Please help our environment by bringing your own water bottle.

What should I expect?

Pilates is suitable for every body. Expect to be challenged to a level that is suitable for you. You will work through a range of repertoire designed to focus on both strength and flexibility. Expect to feel and see your body change with each session that goes by.

Can I bring my phone to class?

We ask that you please ensure your phone is on silent. This is your time to disconnect with the outside world and reconnect with your self. If you need to take an important call please do so quietly outside, so as not to disturb other clients.

How many times per week should I attend?

Everyone is different. What is appropriate for you will depend on a range of factors; your current lifestyle, any injuries you may have, what your goals are, etc. Generally speaking, the more you put in- the more you get out! Our average recommendation is 3 sessions per week. If you are unsure, please feel free to reach out. We would love to have a chat.

What happens if I am running late?

A little pilates is always better than no pilates! Please just contact us asap, so that your instructor knows to wait for you.

Pre-natal and post-natal

Congratulations on creating a small human! We understand this is both an exciting and challenging period in your life. We are here to support you to regain control of your body and stillness in your mind.

Can I attend classes pre-natal?

Absolutely. Pilates is a safe and controlled form of movement you are able to participate in before giving birth. We will simply modify certain exercises to suit, dependant on how far along you are in your pregnancy. Our sessions are suitable right up until birth unless otherwise advised by your healthcare practitioner.

Can I attend post-natal?

With a letter of clearance from your GP you are most welcome to attend classes approximately 6 weeks after giving birth. Our comprehensively trained instructors will discuss any abdominal separation and/or other complications before commencing movement that is suitable and tailored to your needs.

Can I bring my baby to pilates?

You are welcome to have bub at any private sessions with you. Our instructors are adept at incorporating exercises that allow you to simultaneously hold bub, if need be.
